Do you know your chocolate side? What is that even supposed to be? And what does that have to do with femininity?
If we decide not to present ourselves from our chocolate side, this can have a negative impact on our social image. On how others perceive us. We run the risk of not being accepted, not being respected.
What counts as the chocolate side may vary from one society to another. But these ideas always lead to expectations and a compulsion to conform and to submit. They are unrealistic ideals of beauty, the urge for perfection.
The problem is: our gender influences our lives. Gender concepts that have been formed over centuries, lead to discrimination and reproduce unequal power relations. They make us live in a constant dilemma between what we should be and what we want to be.
We want to question these ideas, also our own ideas on femininity. The role, our gender plays in our lives - and any boundaries that are forced upon us.
